How to Get and Use Armor Spheres

Build a steady Armor Sphere supply and spend it where defense upgrades will remain useful.

Short answer: Earn Armor Spheres through normal supported activities and spend them on equipment that solves a current defense problem or will remain useful through the next progression stretch.

Build a steady supply

Complete quests and optional activities that explicitly list relevant upgrade rewards in the current game. Combine sphere income with hunts that also advance needed monster materials.

Spend by expected lifetime

A frequently used mixed-set piece deserves upgrades before a temporary filler with no useful skills. Defense that prevents a cart has more immediate value than saving every sphere indefinitely.

Avoid waste

Do not upgrade every crafted armor piece. Maintain the active set, one planned replacement path, and a reserve for the next rank transition.

  • Check maximum upgrade availability.
  • Compare material and currency cost.
  • Verify final defense after upgrading.

When farming is not the fix

If defense is current but the same telegraphed attack still causes failures, practice the tell, add matchup resistance, or shorten the punish instead of farming endlessly.
