How to Change Character Appearance

Know which appearance options are normally editable and which may require a separate character-edit feature.

Short answer: Use the available appearance or equipment-appearance menus for editable options; fundamental character edits may use a separate supported edit feature.

Separate three systems

Character body and face, hair or cosmetics, and armor appearance are not necessarily edited in the same place. Identify which layer you want to change before looking for a menu.

Check before confirming

Some fundamental edits may be limited or tied to an edit voucher or platform item. Read the current confirmation screen and storefront terms before spending anything.

Armor appearance

Visual equipment and statistical equipment serve different jobs when the relevant layered or cosmetic systems are available. Verify that changing appearance does not alter the active build.

Protect the save

Use only official supported tools, allow synchronization to complete, and avoid unsupported save editors. Keep platform-backed save protection enabled where available.
