Best search areas
Open the Windward Plains map and search the sand-dune edges around Areas 11 and 13. The lizard's long tail and upright alert posture help distinguish it from smaller background movement.
Scan from a short distance before crossing the sand. A frightened Tracktail Lizard can flee and burrow, which makes a rushed direct approach slower than taking a moment to identify it.
Capture sequence
Select the Capture Net, crouch or use concealment when needed, approach until the aiming indicator confirms range, and fire at the identified lizard. Avoid mounting directly through the group.
- Search Windward Plains Areas 11 and 13.
- Look for the long raised tail.
- Approach slowly.
- Use the Capture Net and return to Dareel.
Dareel's Research Report
The early research request introduces endemic-life capture. If the hand-in does not progress, confirm that the requested creature was captured after accepting the mission and return to the correct researcher.
If the lizards disappear
Leave the immediate area and allow the endemic population to reset through normal travel or rest. On the next approach, stop outside the sand patch and prepare the net before moving closer.
